Die Macherei München
SUSTAINABLE DISTRICT WITH A UNIQUE CHARACTER
Since autumn 2017, the urban office and commercial district DIE MACHEREI MÜNCHEN has been under construction in the Berg am Laim district of Munich, with around 75,200 m² for offices, shops, retail, restaurants as well as a design hotel and fitness studio. The ensemble of six buildings, surrounding a central square, is located close to the city centre, connected to well-established public transportation infrastructure. The centrepiece is the “incubator building”, which is designed as a start-up and co-working hub. DIE MACHEREI MÜNCHEN was the first district in Germany to be awarded the LEED Gold sustainability certificate for neighbourhood development. In addition, the project development also received the European Property Award 2019-2020 in two categories.
